My Gas Kiln: Where Fire and Earth Meet.

Crafting Clay the Old-Fashioned Way: From Scratch to Something Special.

My Name is Rica And I Am An Artist.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Science and completed three years of study at the Academy of Arts and Design, Bezalel, where I majored in Ceramic Design. Throughout my artistic journey, I’ve expanded my creative repertoire by exploring a wide range of mediums, including welding, woodworking, graphic design, polymer clay, stained glass, jewelry making, and paper folding/sculpting. These diverse courses have enriched my practice and deepened my love for the creative process.
While I work with many types of clay—ranging from earthenware and stoneware to porcelain, paper clay, and air-dry clay—my true passion lies in working with recycled materials. This has led me to create mixed-media art that incorporates a variety of textures, forms, and materials. The result is a unique blend of techniques and materials that reflect both my artistic evolution and my commitment to sustainability.
My design style is shaped by years of practice, experimentation, and an ongoing pursuit of artistic growth. I draw inspiration from nature—animals, plants, and trees—as well as my strong desire to reuse and recycle. These elements come together in my work, where the imagery often reflects the harmony between nature and the repurposed materials I incorporate.
Each piece I create is a reflection of my journey: a continuous cycle of learning, making, and refining. Through my art, I aim to spark a connection to the natural world while promoting the beauty of sustainability.
